FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the different programs under the Education Initiative?

There are 3 ways in which our organization offers help to young, aspiring and economically backwards children.

Financial assistance: We pay the school fees for an eligible student for the academic year. While monitoring their academic performance, we continue to support them financially until their graduation or vocational education.
Material assistance: We donate stationery and learning material to government schools that don’t have sufficient resources to support their students.
Learning assistance: We have a team of professionals that will conduct skill building workshops on relevant subjects to give them a fighting chance to excel in the real world.

What is the eligibility criteria for this initiative?

We have a fixed set of criteria for a child to be eligible for this donation.

The child must be interested in studies and take active interest to get good grades and study well. We will verify this by talking to the concerned teachers and checking their report card when we short list.
The parent(s) must be hard-working and having a livelihood. If any parent has any addictions, we do not support such children. This is important for us, as we don’t wish to be party to encouraging someone to spend their hard-earned money further into their addictions.
The parent(s) annual income should be <Rs.3,00,000/- per annum. (Query)
Our aim in having these criteria is to ensure that those who are in genuine need of these funds benefit the most from it. If you know the candidate personally and can vouch for their authenticity, we would be happy to extend a helping hand to them.

How I can be a part of this program?

We have many opportunities for you to join hands with us for this noble cause.

You can be a volunteer and help us find eligible children as well as interested donors.
You can also donate towards this cause and encourage your friends and family to do so.
We offer skill building workshops for such children. You can be a part of our team for such activities. We require trainers, content developers, co-ordinators, etc. for this work.

How can I donate money towards this initiative? Will I get any tax benefit?

You can deposit money directly to our bank account. You can find our bank account details here. We currently do not have tax benefit for donations. Once you have completed your donation, you will receive an e-receipt against the same.

How does my money get used?

The funds donated by you are sent to the school account directly towards the eligible child’s fees.
